Streaming a webcam's footage to several applications simultaneously can be difficult in Windows. Fortunately, WebCamSplitter can help you get around this limitation. It can split the video output to several receivers, which can be anything, from chat applications to online streaming utilities. Furthermore, the software lets you make a wide range of output configurations in real time.

WebCamSplitter is free to try for a limited period of time, but without any functionality restrictions. You can use it on any modern Windows version, from Win 7 to Win 10, without sacrificing a significant amount of memory or processing power. It takes about a minute to install the software, because it will set up a few additional drivers on your computer.

The application doesn't display a user interface when you run it, but you can access its core functions through its system tray icon. If you left-click the icon, you will find options for selecting a broadcast source. Besides a webcam, this can also be a local media file, a network camera, or your screen. All you have to do is specify the source and the application will start streaming right away.

You can bring up a preview of your stream if you right-click the system tray icon and select the "Output Settings" option. Your stream will be played on a small window, on which you can also find options for overlaying images and text, for making color corrections and taking snapshots.

There are more settings you can make, but on different panels. The software lets you set a global FPS limit and a resize quality, change the output resolution and more. All settings can be made through simple sliders, counters or check boxes and nothing should prove to be too difficult, even for novice users.
